Training/Education in the Pediatric Echo Lab

The purpose of this community will be to establish a forum in which to evaluate noninvasive imaging issues in the training and education of pediatric cardiology fellows and congenital sonographers, to encourage standardization in training practices and policies as they pertain to noninvasive imaging, and to promote excellence in core fellows and sonographers as well as those wishing to pursue a career in noninvasive imaging.
The forum will be limited to echo lab directors and will involve discussions on various topics such as the following:
1. Survey results pertaining to fellow training in noninvasive imaging
2. Expectations pertaining to noninvasive imaging for fellows graduating from general pediatric cardiology training
3. Expectations for fellows graduating from 4th year advanced imaging training
4. Application deadlines for 4th year advanced imaging positions
5. Resources for noninvasive imaging research
6. Education curriculum for fellows (innovative tools, etc)
7. Education curriculum for sonographers
